The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Sattva Technologies LLC, a Massachusetts company ("we", "us"), which makes and runs Farmmetric at myfarmmetric.com and in the Android app on Google Play (developer name "Sattva Labs"). By making an account or using Farmmetric, you agree to these terms and the Farmmetric Privacy Policy. If you sign up for a farm, you confirm you may agree for it.
Farmmetric runs on Samana
Farmmetric is powered by Samana, our manufacturing and resource planning software. Your Farmmetric account is a Samana account for your farm that you never have to open. Samana's Terms of Service also apply. Where they differ about Farmmetric, these terms win.
Who can use Farmmetric
Farmmetric is a free farm crew app for farmers of all types (vegetables, fruit, row crops, nursery, livestock, anything grown). It is for farms and the people who work on them. You must be 18 or over.
The free plan
- Farmmetric is free: one farm and up to 5 crew, with no card.
- If you need more, you can move up to a Samana plan (see below).
- If we ever offer a paid extra, it will be optional, its price shown before you choose it, and we will give 30 days' notice before any price change.
Your farm's records
- Your farm's records belong to your farm. You let us store, back up and process them only to run Farmmetric and Samana for you, and as the Privacy Policy describes.
- You are responsible for having the right to enter your crew's details, and for telling them as your local law requires.
Crew and roles
- Your farm admin invites the crew and sets each person's role.
- Crew record what they did (check-offs, hours, counts, harvests, inputs used, photos) against the tasks on your farm's schedule.
- New work a crew member adds comes in as a proposed task until the farm's planner approves it. A head grower's own adds and moves count as approved.
Working with no signal
If you record something with no signal, it waits on your phone marked "not sent yet" and is sent when there is a connection. If the phone is lost, reset or the app's data is cleared before then, those records can be lost. Check that nothing says "not sent yet" before you sign out or change phones.
Your rules and records
Farmmetric helps you keep records. It is not legal or farming advice, and it does not replace any government reporting system or file anything for you. You are responsible for following the laws, permits and licenses that apply to your farm and for what you report. Farmmetric is not used to buy, sell or deliver any product.
Fair use
Do not try to reach another farm's records, get around roles or sign-in, copy or resell Farmmetric, take its code apart, overload or scrape it, or use it for anything unlawful.
Moving up to Samana
If your farm chooses Samana, your records are already there. Samana's plans and prices apply from then, under Samana's terms.
Ending
- You can stop using Farmmetric and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy).
- We may suspend or close an account for breaking these terms or when the law requires it. Unless it is urgent, we will tell you first.
- We may close a free farm with no sign-in for 12 months, after 30 days' notice by email.
- After a farm is closed, its admin has 30 days to download its records. Then we delete them, and backup copies are deleted on their own schedule.
No warranties
Farmmetric is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. We do not promise it will always be available or free of errors.
Limit on liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or lost-profit damages, or for records lost before they were sent. Because Farmmetric is free, our total liability for any claim is no more than $100.
Law and disputes
These terms follow Massachusetts law. Disputes go to the courts in Bristol County, Massachusetts. Either of us may use small claims court.
Changes to these terms
We will post any new version here with a new date, and tell farm admins about important changes at least 30 days ahead.
